Installation notes: Read and Print and attach to your instructions

As with all controls do not mount them on the boiler cabinet.  They can fall risk of damage from heat and water.

Be sure to place the sensors for Heat and Hot water maintenance as close to the boiler out pipes source at the boiler.  This way you will be getting the quickest and most accurate boiler temperate readings.  For most hot water heating needs this will be just on the top of the boiler at the nearest point to the boiler itself on the hot water supply piping to the zones.

For Domestic hot water tankless coils and indirect tanks, a second sensor placement should be on the hot pipe as the hot water supply to the indirect tank leaves the boiler. The sensor should pick up the supply temperature from the boiler.

For Hot water storage with coils in them (Indirect), the sensor can be positioned where the hot water leaves the boiler.  This will avoid the overheating of the boiler when the hot water maintenance selection is not used.

All piping and sensors should be insulated with insulation to guard against heat loss and to maintain accurate temperatures to the sensors, and avoid piping heat loss.

Make sure to confirm temperature sensor reading by using the laptop menu mode to check that temperatures are within range and all menu settings are correct for the installation.  Customers should be aware that annual service calls should be made to check for good operation.  Often boiler cleaners and oil service techs shut off the controls as a precaution, then forget to turn the control back on when finished with service chores. Other services should be cautioned to call for service if the system has to be disturbed for boiler change out or other modifications. Make sure to inform the customer of the ON/Off switch and what it does for them. Also make sure you affix your service label to the control so everyone knows who to call  Leave instructions for service persons and owners to review.

Acquaint owners and service persons to the Exquisite Heat website. This way they can know how it works and who they can call.
