This application challenged Exquisite Heat to combine a steam heat exchanger connected to hydronic baseboard water temperature all controlled with Exquisite Heat thermostat activity over time.
Additionally, this system had 100% circulation. The thermostat information from the remote thermostat is translated into steam valve actuation to attain proper water temperature. Building temperature can go to an absolute low temp of 130 degrees as there is no boiler fire involved.
At the heart of the system were two firetube boilers feeding 4 pounds of steam to 7 buildings that housed a college and student resident halls. Each building has its own control. Now the comfort for stuudents and residents "Exquisite".

Multi zone systems are a special treat. Most control systems require sensing in each zone. With the high circulation requirement of Exquisite Heat, only one sample zone needs to be monitored and the balance of the remaining zones satisfy on the independent operation of the individual zone thermostats.
With a required circulation of the sample zone of 60-70% the remaining zones have the freedom to call up to 100% circulation or less to compensate for the immediate difference in heat loss or gain within the independent zones. Few buildings have more than 30% heat loss difference between zones.
When asked about the difference. " I noticed this winter is the first time my wife did not have the humidifier out."

The unique feature for this hydro-air-radiant combination system is the way Exquisite Heat increases circulation to all pipes and radiation with lower temperature water. As a cold start boiler it will normally go all the way up to the design maximum temperature, which can cause early thermostat satisfaction without heating the entire building. Thermostat analysis assists the system by adjusting the high limit downward, giving the system the ability to evenly distribute less than design degree temperatures on less than design degree days. This evens the temperature throughout the building, satisfying the temperature needs with less variation in temperature within the heated spaces at lower temperatures.

People often complain about uneven temperatures within steam systems. Exquisite Heat uses indoor thermostat analysis to adjust burner cycle time (BTU supply), at low operating pressures, far more precisely than pressure limit controls, and outdoor resets.
Indoor reset technology takes all heat loss factors into consideration at the thermostat. Exquisite Heat together with careful management of insulation needs and proper air venting make steam systems as comfortable and efficient as any heating system can be.

18 family co-op Yonkers NY a satisfied customer said "After being overheated for so many years, we have to get folks to turn on their baseboard thermostats. That should even things out very well." They also reported that their oil bills were down from the year before. "The savings in boiler protection alone was worth it. Having even comfort for all unit owners is proceless."
The estate home owner said, "The even comfort is amazing. The basement is cooler and the house is warmer. Exquisite Heat makes sense to increase circulation of lower temperature water." One month later the same owner reported,"To be honest, I don't even think about the heating any more. It works great." One year later...."The heat is great."
