Multi zone systems are a special treat. Most control systems require sensing each zone. With the high circulation requirement of Exquisite Heat, only one cooler sample zone needs to be monitored and the balance of the remaining zones satisfy on the independent operation of the individual zone thermostat. With a required circulation of the sample zone of 60-70% the remaining zones have the freedom to call up to 100% circulation or less to compensate for the immediate difference in heat loss or gain by the independent zones. Few buildings have more than 30% heat loss difference between zones.

The unique feature for this hydrotherm - radiant combination system is the way Exquisite Heat increases circulation to all pipes and radiation with lower temperature water. As a cold start boiler it will normally go all the way up to the design maximun temperature, which can cause early thermostat satisfaction without heating the entire building. Thermostat analysis assists the system by adjusting the high limit downward, giving the system the ability to evenly distribute less than design degree temperatures on less than design degree days. This evens the temperature throughout the building, satisfying the temperatuire needs with less variation in temperature within the heated spaces at lower temperatures.

Most folks complain about uneven temperatures within steam systems. Exquisite Heat uses indoor thermostat analysis to adjust burner cycle BTU supply, at low operating pressures, far more precisely than pressure limit controls, and outdoor resets. "We can now use rooms we could not in the past." This is what happens when you distribute lower temperature water to the exact heat loss of the space, at high rates of circulation. The warmth gets to the ends of the zones. By using a standards of 70% circulation on one average sampling zone, allows any chillier zones to circulate up to 100% allowing the colder zone to take more BTU's when needed. Warmer zones can reduce their circulation according the zone thermostat demand. The sample zone will adjust boiler water exit temperatures to exact replacement of BTU' at 70% circulation rate. The sweet spot for boiler high limit is adjusted each hour up or down from the previous hours performance. If the thermostat calls for more than 70% the high limit will be raised for the next hour. If the thermostat calls less than 70%, the high limit will be reduced proportionally for the next hour. Most times that temperature adjustment of High limit is betrween .2 degrees to 2 degrees.

Frequently asked questions.
How does "Exquisite heat" differ from outdoor temperature sensor controls?
We are adjusting boiler temperature to meet building thermostat setting with a fixed desired rate of circulation for even comfort. Outdoor reset does not determine even comfort. Outdoor reset does not take the interior comfort into account. Some have indoor feedback to adjust outdoor settings. We are more accurate and simpler to install. We also do the job for less initial cost
Sunlight, wind, rate of heat loss of the building can all determine what the boiler should be doing. The thermostat inside the building interprets occupant desires as well. The thermostat is the ultimate weather responsive control. They never knew how to adjust heating plant output from the thermostat before.
